Dear Friend,

lt ìs with great pleasure that we most cordially welcome You to the '9^th European Meeting on Cardionephroiogy', which will be held in Assisi, April 1 1-1 3, 2002.
The scientific programme will continue the Tradition of the meetings that have taken place in Assisi in the past.
Scientific knowledge of the functional correlation between heart and kid­ney diseases and the expansion of clinical observations have persuad­ed the Scientific Programme Committee to include emerging topics, which will be presented to the delegates by worldwide authorities in cardionephrology.
The programme will include state-of-the-art lectures, symposia, case ­based workshop and hot topic sessions.
A large portion of the programme will be devoted to oral and poster pre­sentations of original pieces al research with the aim of creation a platform to address future strategies the will bring scientific application to everyday cordiorenal clinical practice.
As has always been the case, 'Young Investigator Grants' have been established to underline our interest in helping young researchers and clinicians to attend the meeting.
Once again, Assisi will allow the European meeting participants to enjoy its beautiful and historic sites.

We look forward to seeing you in Assisi in the spring of 2002.

Al primo autore dei lavori accettati saranno inviati i forms con le relative istruzioni per la stesura definitiva del testo che dovra' pervenire entro il 10 Febbraio 2002 alla Segreteria Scientifica per poter essere inserito nel volume degli Atti pubblicato per la data del convegno.

SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION

Those who intend to present papers are kindly invited to submit the Abstract Form by December 31, 2001. The first author of selected abstracts will be sent forms with relative instructions regarding the final draft of the text, which should arrive at the Scientific Secretariat no later than February 10, 2002, in order to be included in the Proceeding Volume published for the convention.
